New Orleans
So, Houston was pretty great.

I didn't get to update until now because on the fourth, we spent the whole day at the NASA space place, and watched all these videos, saw all these presentations, and did all these games and such. Skipped lunch since breakfast was dimsum and was completely awesome. I also went on this tour of the space station research/control center place thing, and got drenched because there was a thunderstorm. It was very fun though! I got to see a real space rocket... oh my Lorrie was it huge. After the space station visit, we had dinner and went back to the apartment.

So, here's a little background info on my stay in Houston. A friend of my dad and his family (wife + little boy) came with my dad to pick me up in Houston, and they have a friend who owns an apartment there, so we camped out there since the friend (who owns the apartment) is in New Orleans. We ate in all these amazing restaurants every single day for breakfast and dinner and had random stuff for lunch. I gained about 5 pounds here in these 3 days... >.> That's 20 lbs I have to lose to get back to my original weight, and another 15 lbs that I have to lose to be normal and not overweight again, for a grand freaking total of 35 lbs I have to lose. x.x LOVE, right?

Anyways, the little kid, William, my dad, me, and William's dad all played cards every night in Houston until about midnight. I would get up every morning at 3AM and 5AM to go to the bathroom and then wake up at 7AM again, give up trying to sleep more and get up at 7:30AM. I know, very unusual. I think France has poisoned me and my laziness. xD

So, yesterday, I went ice skating at the Galleria mall in Houston, and it was pretty cool. Very hot and sweaty though... xD Except, I didn't bring my skates, so I had to rent skates, and let me tell you. Oh my freaking Lorrie did those skates suck. They're worse than the skates at the ice rink I usually skate at back home, and that's saying something. Anyways, they totally suck, they have no edges, their toe picks are pretty much nonexistent, and oh, did I mention they completely suck? After a while I got used to them though, and could skate forwards and backwards and do some crossovers. Even though the skates sucked Lorrie, I still was better than all the other people except like, 2 kids in the middle and 3 hockey guys... oh, and the two skate guards. :) I can't wait to get back to Cali, I am itching to skate in my own awesome skates with the awesome awesome toe picks that are the size of freaking Canada. YEAH. Huge toe picks are love now. :D

Also went shopping yesterday, and bought this AWESOME hoodie from Hot Topic (you know that one amazing store that is more expensive than Lorrie itself but you can't really live without it?) for like, $50... *dies* Yeah... I loved it that much. I would pull up a piccie for you from the HT site, but it's not on there... >.>

So today, we drove to New Orleans, where I'll be staying until August. 5 hour road trip; stopped only once half an hour in because little William had to go potty. xD It was all good, we all relieved ourselves and got free water and mints. :D I ate so much in the car... but we're finally here. We had dinner at my dad's friend's house, and played more cards and mahjong until 9pm. Came home, unpacked. And yeah...

Did I mention that my shampoo bottle died and spilled my shampoo ALL OVER EVERYTHING? It was in my suitcase, WITH EVERYTHING IN IT, and I didn't realize until two days into Houston... x_X half my suitcase was completely drowned in orangey goo. It's disgusting looking, but smells really good. Go figure. So yeah... I have about, one clean outfit left from that catastrophe, and thank god nothing I bought in France was victimized. They were far away enough from the bottle. :)

So anyways, after unpacking and laying out the extra mattress, I called my grandies and chatted for a while before updating this and ogling at the HT site while trying to find a piccie of my uber expensive hoodie. I saw a pokemon hoodie for $60... any obsessed fans out there who are super rich? xD

And that's pretty much all that's been going on lately... yup. France will come later as promised with uber pics. Took like, freaking 700+ photos!!! WOOT!

I need to get up early tomorrow morning to sort out all the paperwork with my new internship at LSU, so Imma gonna stop here and say good night to all. ^_^ (It may be only almost 9pm in Cali, but it's 11pm here in New Orleans)

Loves!
